Knotty Bicsie "Back in Action"
It's been so long since we last participated in bazaars & Art market. Really miss my "bazaar friends" & the fun! Time has never been our side to make enough product to be showcased u see :( This time round, decided to join a friend's little cosy event to start the ball rolling! :) Do swing by if u can! :)

Knotty Tea Party - "Handmade-A-Fair"
Last Saturday was Knotty Bicsie's 3rd Birthday Bash & it was a GREAT HIT! Our usual idyllic crafting studio was flooded with Knotty Fans & we were all packed like sardines! :P My family, friends & I were definitely very overwhelmed by the crowd. So Knotty Fans whom I did not get to talk to much, please forgive me. :P I felt like an octopus that day! haha.... :D Special thanx to Moses of Pauseability who came by to share with everyone about ATC. That 15min of "breather" for all the "stall-holders" was definitely precious! :P
Also special thanx to my splendid helper, Azreen. Azreen, Thank u so much! I know I can always count on U! :)

A few of my very talented creative friends definitely add lotsa vibrant colours to Knotty Bicsie's humble birthday party. Just beside me was Michelle & Jullie showcasing their crochet dolls & accessories. I'm sure all of you are VERY FAMILIAR with Jullie by now. We've worked together a few times already. We are "extra hands" to each other in many of our crafting endeavors :P Jullie, thank you for your friendship! :)
Here's the beautiful stall of Japonicas by Jet. While Jet was enjoying her holiday trip in HK, Mum & Pearlin helped sell her pretty Japonicas. They are so charming, Pearlin actually spent her entire pay for the day as a Japonica salesgirl, on a necklace & ring! haha... :D
Wendy of Tagaholic brought her little daughter along to let her experience "the morale of doing business & that $ does not come easy, & of course to have fun" (Wendy's exact words :P). Wow, a mum never fails to capture "teachable" moments! O, Wendy even very thoughtfully made a "Blessing Book" for me as a gift! (It's the beautiful red guestbook, in which all of u penned down your wishes & blessings for Knotty Bicsie!) Thank u so so much, Wendy! ;) Suzanne of PeriwinkleSu is undoubtedly one of the shining star on Sat. Her stuffs were almost "SOLD OUT" by the end of the day! I'm also a proud owner of Suzanne's hand-quilted work! ;)
Ayako of Something Magickal had the most "peaceful" stall inside my personal studio space, where she did 5 intuitive drawings & sold some of her postcards & medicine bag. She even did a very special "Red & Black Maneki Neko" for Ed & I as a gift for Knotty Bicsie's 3rd Anniversary! Thank u so much, my dear friend! We love it! :)
One of the most interesting stalls has to be Ellen's Singtatter-Corner! many Knotty Fans never even heard of tatting before last Saturday! & everyone is totally awed & impressed by Ellen's intricately beautiful hand-tatted creations. O, & Ellen's son, Ivan, even conducted a mini origami workshop for some Knotty Fans that day. Ellen & Ivan, thank you for sharing your work. We all learnt something new that day!
"When I Was Four" is a new indie label, but their creativity definitely is not new to us. Remember my Knotty Bicsie Shoes, which everyone adores? Well, it's hand-painted by Liling lo! So glad to see many new designs on that day.
Yet another special thanx to a dear friend, Adrian, who baked some beautiful cakes & made some yummy chocolates for Knotty Tea Party. Everyone kept asking for more! Adrian, I am so gonna cater from you when I have my very own KBCC (Knotty Bicsie Crafting Cafe) one day! ;)
Of course we did not forget our lucky draw! Lucky winners definitely went home even happier with our unique handmade prizes. :) As for our Birthday Give-Away, the lucky winner who gets to adopt our kawaii Knotty Phant is.... *drum roll*... our very dear friend, Ee Wei!!! Knotty Phant is going to Edmonton!!! Yay...!!! EeWei, I'm sure this little fella is gonna keep u very warm this X'mas! Just don't let your new cats eat him up! :P
Besides our Lucky Draw, everyone also gets to go home with our very own hand-crochet goodie bags! Took my Mum & I almost 3 weeks to make these for everyone! Lotsa hard work for sure, but it's all worthwhile :)
Our very 1st "Handmade-A-Fair" is such a HUGE success, we are already planning to have a bigger one next time! :P After Knotty Fans went home happy & satisfied from their shopping spree, we stayed on for a little de-brief to discuss how to make our next Handmade-A-Fair an even better one for you. Many Knotty Fans were so so so sweet & brought presents for Knotty Bicsie too! Check out my new treasures... Birthday Sale @MAAD
To mark the start of Knotty Bicsie's birthday celebrations, we had an exclusive storewide 30% discount @MAAD last weekend (3rd & 4th October).
Time really flies... I can still remember the 1st time I had a stall @MAAD. It was MAAD Sunday then, when MAAD used to be on every Sunday still. Check out my humble tiny stall in 2006 @red floor MAAD... :P I was very lucky to be "promoted" into the gallery space on the very 2nd week! Yay...! haha... In the gallery space, I made many wonderful friends, who are extremely talented, & learnt alot from fellow MAADsters, especially in terms of stall display & packaging. Well, the rest is history now... :)

MAAD is where Knotty Bicsie was born. Knotty Bicsie has indeed blossomed over these 3 years, all thanks to your constructive feedback & enthusiastic support.
I bought a new "table cloth" for my stall! hehe... It's actually a curtain, which I bought from the kid's department of Ikea :P Isn't it pretty? & I think it looks perfect for my stall too! ;)

Just as last year, Knotty Bicsie Studio is having a Open house to all Knotty Fans to celebrate our 3rd Anniversary! Different from last year, I've invited a few of my very talented friends to set up "stalls" @our cosy studio, so we all can have a shopping spree on uniquely handmade items!

Hi everybody, I'm Suzanne of periwinkle. Many years ago, I took up patchwork lessons as just a hobby. I started with small projects of bags & pouches, then progressed to hand-quilting blankets. With my friends, we weekly get together & worked on challenging projects. Then I started exploring & creating my very own crafts as personal gifts to my friends. As I moved on with quite a collection, I thought it's time to share my love & passion with everyone. I'm pleased to be invited for Knotty Bicsie's 3rd Birthday celebration party! Just for this special occasion, I would be making new products for keeping yarns & crochet needles, etc. So I do hope all of you will like it & see all of u there! ;)
Japonicas by Jet
Japonica, which means Japan white windflower, symbolizes pureness, wilderness, hope and absolute freedom. This is how we want our creations to be... We planted hope in our Japonicas (referring to our creations) and it is hard to part with any of them. Nevertheless, we slowly learn that japonicas are meant to take greater heights, to take off and fly...

Since Ellen started tatting 10 years ago, she has been tatting gifts for friends, customised laces for appreciative customers, and also for charities and donation drives. Ellen has taught tatting in classes and to individuals who are keen to learn this centuries-old art of making fine laces.

On-the-spot personal intuitive drawing is done when a client sits in front of me & the client can start to talk about themselves / start asking questions / just relax and be silent throughout the 10-15mins process and i will draw out whatever images or colors i see from the client's subconscious level, from their auras or from their guides/angels/totem animals and if theres messages from the client's guides i will convey it back to the client as well. At the end of the process one gets to own their unique piece of intuitive drawing too! Plus its like having a reading done on the spot.
Intuitive Drawing sessions are at special rate of S$40.00 @Knotty Tea Party, instead of the usual S$80.00 Strictly by appointment only. Kindly email Betsy (bicsie@gmail.com) to book your session as early as possible to avoid disappointment, as there are only 6 sessions available.
Of course, Knotty Bicsie's very own hand-knitted/-crochet items will also be on sale that day, & not forgetting our yarns & accessories supplies too! :)

Singapore Arts Street @Hougang Central Hub
It was another hot & busy weekend for Knotty Bicsie on 21st & 22nd June. Our workshop table was packed with family, kids, & all those young at hearts! It was amazing watching those eyes literally lit up when they see how these fluffy pompoms magically appear before their eyes!
Kids @Kids Performing are fabulous! They put up a real funky & energetic performance! Way to go, kids! & of course, they drop by after their show to make their own little pompom friends too :)
There were many activities perfect for a family outing. Check out the VERY young vendors just beside us. Even my little cousin, GuanRu, couldn't resist joining in the fun with finger printing & painting. :)
There was also a on-the-spot painting competition. I was shy to participate, but I did my little piece with my little neighbours :) Not bad ya? ;D
Dad follows my blog & we realized we NEVER have a picture of him with or at Knotty Bicsie at all! Finally! Here's the 1st with Edward! Say cheese, Daddy!
Liling made my day by delivering my customized Knotty Bicsie shoes! I was sooo... thrilled when I got my new shoes! They were PERFECT! Thanx a million, Liling! ;D
